Okanagan Valley, British Columbia
Okanagan Student Research Initiative Student-led research, reviewed and published

For authors

Submit a manuscript

Submissions are accepted year-round from students enrolled at a secondary school in the Okanagan Valley. There is no fee. First decisions are sent within four weeks of a complete submission. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must acknowledge publication before your work goes online. For this reason, OSRI will provide a digital permission form for parents/guardians after your acceptance.

Author

Name, school and grade for each. Each co-author must have contributed materially.

Manuscript

Ideally a shared Google Doc with comment access, or alternatively a PDF in a shared folder. Remove your name from the file itself.

250 words or fewer. For a mini-paper, one or two sentences.

Ethics

Who took part, how they were recruited, what they were asked, what was recorded, whether anything could identify them, how consent was obtained, and whether the school gave permission. The Ethics Review Panel assigns the tier from a corroboration of this description and the methodology section; see the ethics standard. You may respond with bullet points.

Name, role and email. Required for yellow-tier studies; the supervisor will be asked to co-sign.

AI disclosure

Name each tool used, what it was used for, and how you verified its output. Write "None" if no AI tools were used. See the policy.
